Translators not loaded --- Translators error in Dreamweaver for coldfusion.htm

I use Dreamweaver 8 on Windows XP and recently started to get this error message for no reason. It just started one day.

the following translators were not loaded due to errors coldfusion.htm has configuration information that is invalid.

This could also happen for
XSLT.htm has configuration information that is invalid,
ASP.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.
ASP.NET.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.
and so on.

The solution to this problem is to delete FileCache_X.dat files from the Dreamweaver user configuration folder, where X is a random number and it could be different for your system. See below

Dreamweaver 8 on Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration

All the best. I was able to successfully solve this problem

Hi,

Just to let you know, I decided to go ahead and delete the file called WinFileCache-X.dat and it did resolve the problem.

Not sure why the file name was different but as it was a .dat file and so similar it seemed like a no brainer, I have got Studio 8 installed rather than just Dreamweaver 8 so perhaps it is to do with that.

Anyway thanks again, such a relief to have solved the problem.

Naveen, what version of Dreamweaver are you using and can you paste the full path of your folder? In my case it was C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration.

Thanks for the help. Just want to inform you that the issue doesnt solve even after reinstalling Dreameaver & Macromedia Extension Manager. I just deleted the .dat file and it started working.
Your post was really helpful.
